I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix 1 I. V7 z- [: J$ M& A% I! T- n1 l8 B, i/ {( r9 g
